Hsinchu
The Taiwanese science park where the most advanced chips are printed.
The world's most advanced chips are printed in a Taiwanese city few people can place on a map. Hsinchu hosts the headquarters and first fabs of the planet's largest chip foundry, with many of its newest sites further south, toward Tainan. Wafers enter bare and leave covered in circuits. Almost every high-end phone processor passes through the island. It is one of the most concentrated places in the whole chain.
